Watercolor is not a medium to be mastered or conquered.
The accidental effects and unpredictable behavior of the different color in varying degrees are what make watercolor so interesting. My fascination with watercolor comes from experimenting and discovering things I don't know, rather than the mastery of what I do know.

Drawing with pen and ink has an old fashioned appeal in its simplicity. Cross-hatch with pen refines images to disolve them into darkness or expose them with contrast in light. Because of ink's permenancy, I am challenged to plan each mark effectively to reveal the essence of my subject.
